SO I GUESS I SHOULD KEEP UP MORE!!!

Here I am at 3:10am in Barcelona, Spain and finally decide to add a post. It has been nearly a year since the last one. Time does go by fast. I have been here since Monday and have been at either work or the hotel the entire time. I am hoping I can get out tomorrow and see the Cathedral. If so, I will let you know how it is....if I think I can find some time to use this again. Look for some updated pics. I have done so much, I might just add some pics with a title for a while...

Penang, Malaysia

We played Penang, Malaysia last week. It is a small island connected by abridge to the rest
of Malaysia. I didn't have much time off there, just one day but rented a scooter and
went to the beach. They drive on the opposite side of the road so you must pay attention
or it could be real trouble, luckily I had no problem driving but finding my way back
to the hotel was another story.
Just a view from my room of part of Penang. This is a portion of town that is Indian as in India Indian not American Indian.
This is the Sherrif's office in this India portion of town.
Below is a bar in Chinatown that had a fire in 2004. The plaques on the wall are leftover of
the plaques that hung on the wall, originally all mounted on wood. The lady that owns the bar
keeps photo albums from when it opened up in the 1950's. Fun to look at while hanging out.
This is a form of a cab outside if you don't mind going slow.
I stopped by this shop on my way home from the beach as I got lost on the way. It is a moped repair shop. They invited me in, gave me two shots of whiskey, then the guy in the back right hopped on his scooter and led me back to the hotel.
Nice beach but lots of jellyfish in the water, did not get in. One of our guys got stung by one on his arm. It looks like a big rash and I guess burns a lot. The local people say the best thing is to pee on it.
Lots of horses up and down the beach you can hire for a stroll on the beach. I didn't do it as I felt bad for them, the were all very skinny, probably underfed.
A sunset picture with me and a waterski. It was a very cool looking sunset.

Pattaya, Thailand

One day in Pattaya City. It's about a 2 hour drive from Bangkok, spent
one day there after our shows and before we traveled.
Below is a view of a rarely seen kind of Tuk Tuk.Just a cool fountain, I think the gold part is a Mermaid.
View of beach and boats, these boats lined up and down the entire
beach. They are used to take people out to islands or restaurants, or
Parasailing.

This place claims only Europeans but I guess it is true of Russians are now considered European. They make $300 per month to dance there.

This is me getting a new tattoo on the beach. Obviously they did not care if I washaving a beer. In fact the guy comes down with a battery to give the tattoo gun power. Infact I don't think it is quite legal to give tattoo's on the beach as for a moment he thought the police were coming and starting grabbing all of his stuff as though he was going to take off. Had not paid him at that point yet. YES, the needles came from a brand new package.

Floating Restaurants, did not go but they look a little dodgey anyways.
NOT Hollywood - Pattaya
Cool Jeep!!

Where have I been...First update in a while

Hi there, Sorry it's been so long since I have updated this blog and the travels I have done. Last time I entered anything was in Brazil. Since then I went on break in Spokane whcih was great. Now I have been in Thailand which is what this post will be about. Let me tell you, Thailand is a very unique country and would recomend a visit to anyone if you don't mind some things that may catch you off guard, like names of places as you walk down street market streets, such as "Super Pussy" yeeks. Oh well it is still a great place. OK, enough blab about nothing, here are some pics.
This is this only guys job, he literally sits there all day, everyday. Changes clothes every other day. Strange not to have to work. This is a nice temple in the middle of the city, I have many views
from above as our show played on the 5th floor of this Billion
dollar mall. This seems to be an older temple not used anymore. Most days
I see kids running around, playing ball. Actually this area is just to the
left of the neighborhood below. So there really is a little more old stuff
in the middle of all the new. This is a view from a billion dollor mall that we had our show at.
The weird thing about it is that it was only this section that nothing was
done right smack in the middle of all sorts of new construction. My question
is even if you are that poor, is there reason to live in the middle
of the garbage, it is possible to clean up. I do feel for them but then
I also look at it as a choice.View of city out my hotel window.

Back from Campos do Jordao

Enjoying the remainder of the night.
Remember to click on pics to see larger size.
Heading back to the hotel, but first, why not a quick break in the middle of rush hour traffic.
Balcony off our room in Campos.
This was at Midnight. I think we were the only 3 people up at this hour. Not a sole awake in town.
Sitting on the edge of a very steep mountain. 3 more steps and there would be no where to go but straight down.
I have seen pics like this but have never been able to capture one until now with the background so blue.
Jamie, Alexis, and I on a Jeep tour with a background of three different States in Brazil, Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and the 3rd I forgot the name .
Just a beautiful home. I guess the guy who owns it is from Fort Lauderdale.
This is in the middle of the day, not too busy to stand in the middle of the road.
Is this the ugliest manacin you ever seen. Where did they buy this guy from and put a female wig on it? Yuk!!!
Base of the single chairlift we were going to take to the top of the mountain, but only open on Friday's this time of year. The busy season is June and July. This place caters to the richest of Sao Paulo and Rio.
Relaxing in the middle of town.
Center of town, it is suppose to take after a Swiss Village. Lots of Fondue restaurants and great food. This picture is of a local bar that brews their own brew called Baden & Baden.

We are now back from Campos do Jordao, what a neat little town in the mountains. Would be great just to take a week off and stay there. Adding some pics here for you to see.
